I got my hands on one of those last week, and after looking at it, you'd be hard-pressed to try and keep that SGT docked in that thing in a vehicle. I think you could make a car mount out of it, though, and it would be successful.

Another thing I can relate using the OEM car dock....the mount has a spring in it that bounces a bit too much. As I revert to making a more permanent mount, the spring will be eliminated from the equation.

One of my main concerns in figuring how to mount it was to make sure that I could successfully utilize the camera. I want to be able to capture video of all the nimrods in traffic with me that don't know how to drive, so the mount location works perfectly. At some point, I'd like to get around to fabbing up an enclosure that will allow me to slide the tab in and out of like this setup:

but I want it to be a reversible setup so that I by simply replacing the OEM center console/bezel with another, I can revert back to stock w/minimal work.

I see a lot of people mounting iPads in their vehicles, but IMHO, it's a bit LARGE for the front of the car. I think the SGT is the perfect size for what we're trying to accomplish.

Here's the solution, finally a video/audio cable that also charges!

Ya, mount the back-up cam screen under the dash in front of the Tab's camera ;)

With the dock is it possible to seperate the hdmi out to rca to split the sound to an amp and the yellow to headrest monitors?

NEVERMIND IT DOESN'T WORK!
I found the hdmi to rca with hdmi cable at amazon.com. I figure with this the tab gets charged and you get the opportunity to run a screen. Here's the link:

Oh by the way I found an mini amp with a remote that controls everything fade, bass, fm, treble, and volume. They are super cheap like 40 bucks.

Here's the link where you can see the setup:

Lictor4 did you buy this cable? Some people say it has problems like the video not working, that will be a problem if one wanted to connect another screen.

Edit: Ok just read your first here.. So it does works with Gingerbread. Hmm just need to wait for verizon to give us Gingerbread.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, I'm running the latest overcome ROM (at&t tab on Rogers network Canada) so we'll see how it goes. So far I think it's just one guy who's had trouble with this cable.
