Default [Q] battery percentages

I'm a new ace user here, this is my second phone. Is it that ace was never intended to show battery percentage so it never shows unless the user finds a way to open battery info screen?

I have noticed that the percentage is very inaccurate, it doesn't drain 1% by 1% but skips as much as 10%. Is it a universal problem?

like you said, original rom was never intended to show more exact percentage but that is only original framework "issue" there is solution how to make it better:

So replacing a framework-res apk is the solution?
And if my battery charged to 100 percent but the status bar doesn't show a fully charged notification, it's not 100 percent?

it is not that simple. if phone shows 100 percent then it is actually 96-98 percent. it is so to protect battery from overcharging and for simple user not to get confused, it shows 100 percent. AFAIK if you want even more exact figures you need some kernel modifications but ace custom development is not there yet.

and more, if you phone is new, it needs to calibrate itself against the battery to give right figures. to do so is to fully charge and empty it 2-3 times then percentage is much more accurate.

Recalibrating..
Had a 5% battery jump again sigh.

Edit: had a thought. Maybe it's the refresh time for the system on the battery percentage being too long so when it updates itself there is a big jump? Which system file can be edited to change refresh times?

AFAIK mobile phone is not made by rocket scientists, some inaccuracy still may occur depends on usage variations. for example if you go over from stand-by to voice calling or web surfing then power consumption varies greatly and phone calculates different result for battery leftover juice. so, there is nothing much to do about it. i am old PDA user and for me, that kind of behaviour is nothing new.

Yup i'll learn to ignore small flaws.
Anyways, have a problem: flashed European 2.3.4 (on singapore network) and 3g doesn't work. Messaging works fine though. Any solutions?
Sorry to go off topic!

do you have APN configured ? if not then you have to do it manually or order right settings from your mobile operator.
