I have 3 email accounts set up, two are exchange servers and I had no issue setting colors or anything. I am using the CDMA 28a build on R800x.
Don't sweat the small stuff, and remember it's all small stuff.

don't choose sdcard/update.zip

instead, choose "choose zip from SD card" and it will let you pick the file then

Is there any difference whatsoever choosing install zip from sd card, or renaming it to update.zip and choosing apply update.zip?

Make sure to flash a 4.0.XXX Version to update the Baseband before installind CM7. It won't work with the Basebands from 3.0.XXX anymore. I use the one from the nordic generic that you can find here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1269845
Current devices:
Samsung Galaxy Nexus with MoDaCo Custom Rom & Kernel

Asus Eee Pad Transformer 16GB With Dock - Rooted Stock Rom

Retired/Sold:
Siemens SX1
Motorola Milestone (Never again Motorola)
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Nexus S
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play

Waiting for a 4 inch Keyboard slider that is high-tech and NOT Motorola here! Make it happen, HTC/Samsung/LG/SE!
