Default [Q] Restart Problem

Hello,

I just got new sensation and when I use the power button and the restart option the phone seems to turn off and not reboot. A press of the power button is needed to start the phone.

Anyone else know of this, am I being dumb or is this a problem?

I got my Sensation yesterday and had a similar issue. My power button got progressively worse as the day went on. It seamed as if the power button was being held by itself and would bring up the power off and the reboot options any time I touched it. Then as the day went on the power button stopped working all together and I can not unlock my screen. Unless I get a call or pull the battery. Pretty disappointed in this as I never even got to take the phone out of the house before it **** the bed on me and now I have to wait till Monday to get a replacement.

how long are you waiting before manually doing it? it is a computer, it needs to shut everything off & then restart. give it a little time. if it take 2-3 minutes, then something is wrong.

if you uncheck the "fastboot" option it will not restart when you hit restart. If you keep the "fastboot" option checked it will restart

Uncheck fastboot then power off the device. Power the device back up verify fastboot is still unchecked then hit restart and the phone won't restart. I have verified this on my two Sensations.
