pershoot to you have another clock work.tar or md5 file
id also like an image of the google i/0 bootloader in the .tar or md5 format i cant seem to find one. all ive seen is .img and i need a tar. i think this will allow us to get what we need

this might help

Open a Cygwin or *nix console and change directory to where you are storing your ROM dumps.
Run the following command to build a package tarball. Be sure to use identifiable names with versions or dates:
Code:

$ tar -H ustar -c image_1 [image_2 ...] > your_odin_package.tar

Run the following command to sign each tarball with an md5 tail:
Code:

$ md5sum -t your_odin_package.tar >> your_odin_package.tar
$ mv your_odin_package.tar your_odin_package.tar.md5

Please sign your Odin Packages - its the easiest way to tell if the download corrupted them!

Testing your Odin Packages:

Without clicking Start in Odin, load each of the packages you made to see if there are any errors. Be sure to mark the One Package checkbox under Options if you are using one.
If everything loads correctly you can test if Odin will flash them properly - click Start.
If your packages flashed correctly post them online or archive them for backup

thx my friend.

Any ideas why the cwm you sent me didnt stick?

do you have any recoveries you think will work? if i flash them?

do you think flashing the i/o bootloader will brick the device?

If your odin was successful, why would it not boot into clockwork?

That cwm build should boot.

Ill create a v4 with newer kernel and io ver for you.

Your only replacing recovery so should be ok.

That's what I'm trying to figure out my self.
Log says it flashed correctly and I got all passing and green indicators. but it still enters the 3e recovery

Just curious, after you flashed did you boot up as normal and then try to get into recovery? Or did you try booting directly into recovery after flashing?

On my Fascinate, if you boot up normally on the stock kernel the CWM flash will get overwritten, so you have to boot directly into clockwork after flashing and flash a custom kernel in order for it to stick

That is The culprit I had suspected too, Kevin. When I finish flashing Odin makes me reboot automatically and I think its being overwritten as well. Hopefully pershoots Odin friendly recovery and kernal will work
