Cannot get into recovery.

So I flash the Heimdall Only version of Gingerbread. I was in the process of following the instructions when after I did the initial flash, I now cannot get into download or recovery mode. Its like they are gone. I can let my phone boot and it will go into stock 2.3.3 but I would like to get root on it and also be able to get back into download mode. If I hold down the 3 button solute, and plug in USB, it just comes up with the battery. The reason I believe the recovery is gone is because if I pull the USB and just do the 3 finger solute, it will not go into recovery, I get the initial SGS4G post screen then it goes away, and then it comes back. Its like stuck in a boot cycle without recovery. Everything finished in Heimdall perfectly fine, I just cant get back into download or recovery. Any suggestions are much appreciated. :/

Nevermind. I was able to get into it via the "second" way of getting into download mode. Love these forums and the info they provide.
