LPH for me, no problems at all on my side. Still think KL1 is a better all round performer along with KI4 but sticking to LPH for a few more days to test.

whats a recommended modem for use on AT&T 850/1900? yes I'm using the international i9100...

and just so i'm clear if the radio/modem doesn't affect wifi, then what does? kernel?

Yeah, just like it says in the explanatory post on page 1. Kernel handles WiFi and switching between Mobile Network and WiFi. Modem itself handles switching between GPRS/3G/HSDPA/.

I've been using ki1 and as of recently lph. Lph is getting a better signal quality then ki1 according to my signal meter :what:

thanks. will try. also did you have to do the *#*#INFO#*#* and select USA band? I was noticing HORRENDOUS data speeds all today before I did it... like under 500kbps. Meanwhile my Nexus S did 3mbit fine. After I selected band on my SGS2, I was getting 5mbps down.

Is LPH usable in Gingerbread?

I used them both but think LPH is using more battery
LPH is slightly better in signal so I guess this is the trade-off

Go to Phone Information, Menu => Select Band => USA Band.
