what are you switching from ?? The thunderbolt has horrible battery life though, it is a great phone but you would need to carry a brick size battery to last you all day. I say go with the play more, its SE so its gonna be good, comes with gingerbread as stock and with a nice UI something classic of SE. Also there Custom ROM's for it already tht are know to be working. Play FTW!
Droid R2D2 - CyanogenMod7

iPod Touch 4gen - 4.3.2 Jailbroken

Play isn't all its cracked up to be. Screen always go dim bright dim bright in normal light because of the light sensor. There is no on/off for autobrightness as of yet.

The volume keys are a pain in the ass to use.even when in a call.

Most of the xperia play games come from the vzwapp store....the appstore is slow and crawls when just looking through titles available. You will see two bouncing balls and just sits there the other half of the time.

Sony should have their own app store built into the android app store.. **** Verizon and their junkstore ..

I guess the play is ok...but the x2 is better except in the xperia games department.

I forgot to mention and thanks for reminding me....every carrier that is gsm can unlock the xperia play bootloader but it is locked down on all cdma xperia plays....so all in all avoid Sony and Motorola...get HTC if you want custom roms and unlocked bootloaders for most of their phones.
