[Q] Different screen brightness?

I got a sensation replacement due to a defective previous unit. I have somehow the feeling that when set on auto brightness, it is not as luminous as was the previous one.
Do you guys believe it is possible to have different screen luminosity between two different units of the same model?
I believe both screens were made by sharp.

Believe or saw the dmesg ?

Well I do not have the sharp screen and I am very happy with how it looks.
