[MOD] SIP on Gingerbread XXKP7 for I9003

By default the Internet Calls settings are disabled on the XXKP7 build of Gingerbread 2.3.4 for I9003

Enabling it is easy though.
1. Download the android.software.sip.voip.xml file that is attached
2. Copy it to /system/etc/permissions/ using adb, root explorer etc.
3. Reboot
4. Go to Settings > Call Settings > Internet Call Settings to configure your SIP accounts!

I think more codecs might need to be installed. I'm currently able to register with my service, dial and answer calls, but the audio is not coming up yet.

same for me... traces on the server show a gsm codec used, rtp packets sent, but no audio

I am struggling to get sipdroid / 3cxphone working on XXPKE / H - the audio is garbled - did you manage to get a sip call working ?

Though this might be OT, I was debugging some other sip devices today and found that firewalls that block RTP packets might be causing the issue of no audio during call.

Does anyone know if the stock gingerbread roms hav a firewall enabled?
