No worries :) yeah, i nearly **** myself when mine dropped, no carpet either, thankfully mine was fine too but first thing i did was get the case mate back on it. Mine only seems to get that hot when gaming for a while, guess ill take it off for that :) another bonus to the case mate is it stops dust gettin in around the edges of the screen

Yeah there's a couple of downsides though, (just bought and installed mine, already done a drop test and it passed so that's good!!) but the main thing is when it's in my pocket and you pull it out the top rubber comes away, and i suppose the 2mm rim by the screen gets in the way a little of my thumbs when using the phone - though that's a lot better than a smashed phone!

The sides don't effect game play for me. It is weird the top n bottom pull away but i guess they'll still protect in a fall

I've been using a Barely There since I got my phone last month. It's thin and has a nice feel to it, but I'm afraid it won't offer enough protection against a proper curb drop. I just ordered a Tough Case even if it's just to give me the illusion of ruggedness, and the extra bulk can'really hurt. The phone is so thin, that I keep on dropping it inside the house. Well, at least the Barely There has been adequate against carpet and pillows so far.

Hello, i am new here :3

I got my case from Amazon and its one of those common black gel silcon case with S design at the back. Cost me £3 include with screen protector and delivery.

really like the case as i can hide the lil inbetween the phone and the case and take it out when i want to wipe the screen.

The protector is not so great as it does slight cover the front cam (not like i ever use it but). well later i brought "H&V-Samsung Galaxy S2 II i9100 Screen Protector Value Pack (PACK OF 12) " for £1.75 include delivery. Fits perfect but just attact to dust. but as long as it fit and protect the screen i dont mine provide cleaning service to my lovely SGSII .

I found some lovely designed case in amazon but kind for girls (flowers, heart...etc u know what they like). want to find something kind of like sci-fi effort, angel wings watever something cool. no luck tho (too many pages to go through).

Diaboskins have lots of nice design but im unsure will it protect the phone as it actually just like stickers (but if u want to keep SGSII orignal thiness thats the best way for it).

I've had the mesh case for about 3 weeks and now all the soft touch finish is peeling off. Poor quality on the finish (got from phones for u so not fake)

Wish there was a slider case out there

Well, it's not just an illusion, it's actually protected really well.
I smashed it against the wall last night, I always trow it on my pillow on my bed which stands against the wall from the other side of the room... It slipped. Made a reeaallly scary hard smack!
So I learned two things; I am retarded, and the case protest really well, even the white paint from the wall came off easily

This is exactly what I just bought for about $45 on ebay. the Case Mate TOUGH. After watching this video I was pretty convinced that this would be the most protective, without being too bulky.

It is a little expensive... but it will be worth it knowing that if I drop my phone, I won't have a hernia. I will let everyone know how I like it after it comes in the mail and I try it out

Peace for now,
Jamie

It's quite a nice case and the quick stand is handy , the review for this one will be up later today :)

I will also be doing a a review on the casemate tough :) That too is a very nice case and recomended for maximum protection of the sgs2 :)

I,ll post the links up for the reviews later today :)
