Battery Saver
Hi, Ive tried both of those and to be honest I wouldn't recommend them. A better solution is to work out what you want from your smartphone, is it constant data connection with widgets updating, things syncing and a nice bright screen?
If it is then all that comes at the expense of battery life and no app will change that. However if you are willing to lose your data connection overnight and at certain points during the day and ready to ditch widgets or at least reduce their polling frequency serious battery savings can be made.
Timeriffic is a great app that can be used to create daily schedules that configure what your phone is doing. You can set screen brightness, data connection as well as notification settings to change to match your day.
P.S Menu - Settings - Accounts & Sync and turn off the crap!
