Hi ,..i understand the files i use but wat im wandering bout is the code modem,csc files still have the winrar icon on them,like they still need to be unpacked again or it will work this way.

That's because winrar is set as your default program to handle "*.tar" files. They are fine to use as is. Odin has built in package management for these files.

Dont know if anyone has encountered this but after flashing this I cant use internet with my Optus im but I can with Telstra, any help would be appreciated.

Hi
I have followed all the instructions and all went well - apart from one major problem. The phone no longer recognises the sim.
I am on Vodafone in the Uk if this helps

EDIT

I redid the process, minus the cache wipes on my Win7 machine and all is fine. Originally followed all instructions on my winxp machine.

Hope this info helps and doesn't put people off.

Hi nice guide.

may i know do your firmware comes with the bootloader? because i remember reading about installing a bootloader when coming from froyo -> gingerbread.

from my froyo, im planing to flash to gingerbread.

also may i know why is your gingerbread 100MB bigger in size compared to the file posted by Ramad?

Yes bootloaders are included.

I don't know. It must be stripped down or packaged different.
