Default About battery life and fix possibilities...

What was it about the previous EVOs that made battery life an issue at first, and do you think the same issues are present and similar fixes can be applied to resolve them?

From what I've experienced so far the battery life on the 3d is way better than my 4g ever was!!! I also use the free version of JuiceDefender and it definitely helps also.

I just installed Juice Defender Ultimate, lets see how this works ? I am also using the task manager a lot in the notification pull down bar, I will close apps running like internet or market, if I am not using them. Does that really help too ?

Android manages task pretty well by itself. If you turn off data, god , WiFi, etc... When you are not using it you should have much better battery. That's what I do and it keeps my 3vo running strong. I'm buying an extended battery soon tho any way

Default draining while off

Hey guys, pretty stumped here. Just got mine yesterday. It was doing fine, till today. Before class it was about 89%. I turned it off and put it in a small pocket in my backpack. about 30 to 40 minutes passed and I picked up the phone and noticed it was between warm and hot. I turned it on and it was about 69%. WTF? Why is it getting hot while its off? and draining my battery? It would not do that on my evo 4g.

Never seen anything like it. any ideas?

Go to "Talk" > settings > uncheck everything > sign out. That if you are not using GTalk service. This is one of few battery saver tricks.

Did you forget to close some app perhaps that might still have been running in the background? How's the reception at your school?
