[MOD] MessagingMod v2

Hello to all.

I made some mods to the stock Mms.apk (the messaging app).



Features

• No more AutoConverting messages to MMS after 4 SMS. (In my mod, it will be converted to MMS after 1000 SMS.)
• Possible to add to the message 1000 contacts instead of 10 contacts.
• When your phone is off, Sent Time displayed instead of the Received Time.
• Replaced the stock sms launcher icon with the Froyo/Gingerbread one.
• Default Text Message limit: 10.000
• Default Multimedia Message limit: 1.000
• You can now send 160 characters greek message instead of 70. [Uppercase only!]

How to install

A) Using CWM recovery

1. Put the zip in your sdcard.
2. Go in CWM recovery
3. Install zip from sdcard
4. Choose zip from sdcard
5. Find it and press the home button
6. When it finishes press reboot system now

B) Using Root Explorer

1. Extract the Mms.apk from the zip (system/app/)
2. Put it in your sdcard
3. Navigate to it with root explorer, and copy it to /system/app/
4. Reboot your phone

Note: If you have problems with wrong time stamps, configure your time settings manually. (Settings => Date & Time => Select Time Zone / Set Time)

But When i've tested your rom ( 5.7 ) last week.
I've found a bug from SMS
When I received a SMS, time was wrong
When I send a sms, for exampe it was 11:00 AM
And When I received a SMS two minutes later
It was said 9:01 AM
Sorry if the bug has already send ...
...

If you can fix it in v6.0 it would be great

@brigo, Thanks for reminding it to me. You must set the time manualy. This is because wrong configured time zone

Is it normal for the stock messaging icon to disappear from the bottom panel of the main screen after applying this mod ?

I extracted the modded mms.apk and pasted it to /system/app with root explorer. Did a reboot and now only Phone, Contact and Applications are available on the bottom bar. A separate mms.apk is available in the scroll screen which works fine for messaging. Didnt copy the Meta-Inf folder. I am using DDJP4 "plus" FW.

In ur app drawer, go to menu -> edit, drag messaging icon on to the dock (bottom panel)..

When i copy and paste it from root explorer it is showing no space......!!
