[AlpharevX] Marvel Test

Hi.

As some of you may have seen, we're developing HBOOT S-OFF for a multitude of devices. We'd like to add Wildfire S (Marvel) to that lineup.

For that to happen, we need two volunteers to do a remote internal test with us.

Requirements: a linux box, ssh server (portforwarded) + root (sudo is possible).

We're taking two slots for Marvel right now, first come first serve!

Maybe we should drop Marvel from our lineup instead then..

I could help you out with linux box and so on, but my wildfire s is already s-offed with the clip.

I have a S-on marvel and running kubuntu 11.04 x64 as second OS. I could help.

Is not there another way?... without ssh.

That works.
For SSH to work, you need to (obviously) start the sshd, and portfoward your router to the ip address of your kubuntu on TCP port 22.

First opportunity to actually test would be either right now, or tomorrow at the earliest. Tests normally don't take longer than about 10 minutes.

I used my clip to s-off so I can't help, sorry. Maybe if there was a windows version there would be more uptake

I have a stock wildfire s, only no linux. Running w7, will that be of any help?

Am willing to try, but my isp uses non rootable ip addresses for internet connexions. dyndns also does not work...

can there be a work around for this?? i can get ubuntu and ssh installed tonite

Could you give some details of what is going to happen with the phone?

Next week I should have some time to make my phone available voor testing. If you still need someone next week I would like to help.
