Dxtra's solution is also what you need for other app's demonstrating the same problem. You just need to find the appropriate named file in the dbdata/database for deletion.
This was actually why I rooted in the first place...seemed if I installed an app, uninstalled (didn't like it), installed again (changed my mind) then some app's settings would not hold. It's a O.S. bug that's been around for a while (my opinion). I assume the reinstalled app cannot replace the original settings due to incorrect permissions?
