Well, if you drop the phone it could of course crack. But Arc S doesn't crack by itself.

Of course.
I never drop my phone, at least I managed to not do it with my Arc and X10 ^^

When I have time I might go to a service point and ask if they have the fixed cases already and then I might give it to service when I have holidays...

Btw, do you know if we can have the white arc s case applied to our "old" Arc for free?

500MB more Dropbox-Storage for you and me
You have to install Dropbox on your computer to get the 500MB extra space

Feel free to hit the thanks button if I helped you

Don't know, I think that you would have to check that with your local support team.

Vodafone Germany (nearest Service Point) said it isn't covered by warranty, they would send it in, but I'd have to pay for the repair or I get it back unrepaired...
He said I should contact SE directly and sent it away myself, but I'd like to get it repaired in a shop directly so I walk out with a fixed Arc the same day or the day after and not have to wait 1-2 weeks.
Seems like my Arc won't get the new case and will have the crack forever.
Well, better than a replacement with a CPU that can'5 handle much undervolt and overclock (at least -100mV and 1.4GHz, didn't go further, that's a good daily setting imo)

First ARC purchased May 2011 and this will now be my 4th, yes 4th ARC in a 6 month period. Sony still sticking to their story that this issue only affects a small minority of handsets from a certain batch. One may ask if this were true, why do they keep replacing with a known faulty batch!!!

New replacement due tomorrow, wonder if this too will be from a faulty batch. Only time will tell, mind you must be million to 1 to have 4 ARC handsets from said faulty batch!, right SE!!

Number 5, 6, 7, guess that must be billion to 1!!

Lets see.

Now its 4 weeks. The crack is not total yet, but I give it 4 more weeks before I turn this one back as well.
Should I send it back or not? The crack is now a real CRACK going all the way through the plastic. Hm.
But I'm not sure I care anymore. But why should I give SE this for free? I bought the Arc because I thought it was beautiful (on the pictures).
