I did all the steps correctly but in the end when a process begin's in my phone its formated back to 2.2.1 and with same HBOOT 6.01.1002

If this hasn't already been answered then just format your sdcard to fat32 and try again (i had the same issue and fixed it through this)

Unhappy Main version check failed
I can't get the HBOOT to downgrade. The gold card is created successfully, but step2.bat gives be two errors. The first is a 'device not found error', but the process continues as normal and my phone shows the black HTC screen. Then I get a 'FAILED: Remote 43 main version check failed' and the process aborts leaving me back at the regular bootloader. Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong?

Download cm7 and place it on the root of your sdcard, then turn off phone and hold down power and volume down then choose recovery, and then choose install from sd then select cm7 let it install and then reboot

broken battery calibration
Hi.

I have:
S-ON, no root, no CWM
HBoot 1.01.0002
kernal version 2.6.32.21
Build number 2.37.415.1 CL319429 release-keys

and ... my phone broke battery calibration.
New battery shows 2-3% charge and does not accept charge.

Because of this (battery too low), I can not: do root, reflash, make downgrade and more....

What can I do ?

Help me, plz

Yes. This still works.
But there is an easier way to flash custom roms.
You can go to htcdev . com and unlock your bootloader.
There is a guide i think which you can follow. This S-off process is hectic but there are some limitations in the other method i think. You can see ourself.
