Default Any screen protectors come with camera protection?

Just wondering if any are out yet...I like running phones naked but I use screen protection - a camera cut out would be nice, especially if there's some kind of cover/anti-glare for the extra space to prevent reflections in the recording.

Maybe if we ask enough some manufacturers will make it.

I'm tempted to cut some plastic to shape (I have the WriteRight Universal Screen Protectors and they're meant to be cut to size). My only concern is whether it would too negatively impact resolution, etc., but I'm betting it won't.

I'll try right now and let you know.

Default Results!

Ok, results:

Pictures all looked identical in both 2D and 3D with or without the plastic screen I attached.

UNLESS the flash was used. Now in my test, flash made the picture a little worse/bluer regardless, but only unacceptably so when the plastic screen was on.

So I removed the screen and cut out a hole for the LEDs!

The thumbnails are as follows:

Image 12=no plastic at all, 2D, w/ flash
Image 15=plastic (including over LEDs), 2D w/ Flash
Image 16=Plastic (including over LEDs), 2D NO flash
Image 19=Plastic (but NOT over LEDs), 2D without flash

Next post will show plastic (but not over LEDs) WITH Flash

...and finally, Image 18=Plastic (not over LEDs) 2D with flash (compare to Image 12 to see there's basically no difference here.

So obviously Image 15 from the previous post (flash +plastic over the LEDs) showcases the worst it'll get if you slap plastic over the LEDs (I didn't notice a different pre- and post-plastic in 3D mode).

Verdict: I'm definitely going to keep the plastic on (minus the LEDs). There's no downside in terms of film quality and it means a less scratched set of cameras until I either get a real case or sell the thing down the line.

HOPE THAT HELPED!!

Phantomskinz has a screen protector and camera protector combo. Also when you buy one, they send 2 just in case you mess up applying.
