Store both on a low class SD. Separating them between internal and SD memory is more likely to cause a lag. Emulators are just not the most memory efficient applications. The ROM images are not read sequentially. Information about certain dungeons or bosses are stored in different parts of the ROMs, therefore, random access is more important.

As I've stated oh so many times, app usage is random, video recording/file transfers are sequential.

Hmmm real world testing,
Why is it when I played asphalt 6 on mg Galaxy S II

Class 4 sandisk 32 gb - laggy
Class 10 Ridata 32 gb - not laggy compared to sandisk

Same content this time, they only have asphalt 6 data.
Both brand new

It may have to do with different brand cards or the way the app runs. My statement on class ratings is very general. Perhaps the app optimizes the data locations in a more linear style than normal.

In a racing game, the data and progression are more linear, so the data may be stored similarly. Normally in a game file, you might have all the character information stored somewhere, then all the item information, then all the world levels, all the sprites that could appear. in a racing game, there isn't much to guess at in terms of loading. The game already knows which cars will be on the track, which track will have which features and so forth.

Hopefully that explains it better.

@cajun -

Thank you for explaining your point of view, you have been very active and helpful.

Now we have a grasp on the difference and importance of random and sequential read/write on android and wp7 phones.

It's not too hard to perform a quick speed test on it. Compare that result to the rest of them in the thread.
I wasn't able to look at the model numbers since i just quickly browsed through a local electronics shop. The color was the only thing that registered to me since all the others are black. haha xD Anyway I think dazza is right that they're the utlra mobile versions.

Probably so, but it's hard for us to do much with your mental pictures.

well yeah, fair enough from your point of view. But good thing for me there are others who can share info even from mental pictures alone.

Anyway, i'll try posting data after my purchase. Thanks everyone
