Question [Q] Gps problem with different sim card

I have got a prepaid galaxy s 4g with a prepaid sim card. With this sim card the gps signal is working fine. But insert with another family plan sim card (contract one), the status is "looking for gps signal" forever. Has anyone met this problem before? one possible solution is to unlock the mobile, from the searching results. Is there any possible way to solve this? Really appreciate if anyone can suggest.

Are you paying for data or Internet Access on the "contract one" SIM Card? GPS works better when getting location thru network to find your device. other than that it will take forever to get a lock on GPS Sats...are both SIM Cards from T-Mobile?

no data plan. both are sim cards from T-mobile. Right now this problem solved. I don't know why, probably I had the phone unlocked. After restart the mobile several time, it finds the gps signal. thanks anyway

glad it works. if it is still searching for signal, try buying gps aids on the market and go to gps doctor and click regenerate.
If I helped you, the thanks button is very much appreciated.
