Default CM7 2.3.4 installation through recovery aborted

I am running 2.3.3 M6 over my gt540. I would like to upgrade it 2.3.4.so I downloaded both fastboot and recovery zip file of it.I place recovery zip in SD /.in recovery, I clear all the cache and factory reset. Then from install from zip option I try to install it.but after successfully unpack, installation aborted.pl..help.I am not sure whether my existing rom is m6 or RC1, it just shows 2.3.3.

Its best installing a rom from fastboot so you don't get these errors.

If you downloaded the file "SwiftDroid_v2.0_RC0_recovery.zip" you first need to extract that zip to get the two update files:

1. "update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-signed.zip" which is the file you should copy to your SD card and then install with recovery.
2. "recovery.img" which is Clockworkmod Recovery version 4.0.0.5 which you can flash with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

Thanks for your advice. I will try to flash update through recovery and recovery img through fastboot cmd. It was may be due to my recovery 3.2.0.1.I understood .I have another query that I hard CM7.1 RC0 rom does not contain market any Gmail aps, is it true?

You can download a zip for recovery that contains the latest Google Apps for CyanogenMod 7 here:

Many many thanks to you. Final I successful to install 2.3.4 .Although I have still my old recovery 3.2.0.1.I don't know whether it is compatible with CM 7.1 or not.If not then I have to flash manually 4.0.0.5 recovery which I got with CM 7.1 zip for recovery. Thanks for gapps link.May be due to upgrade it was already in rom
