I use gtm Talho´s ROM.

Is the best so far!
But I don´t know if I can change the kernel or I can only use the same kernel that comes with the Rom.

yes you can change the kernel

hey there seems to be a bug in dhruvalways ressurection rom. when in call, the screen goes black and cant turn it back on no matter what i do until the call ends. am i the only one who got this?

why flash resurrection ,just go put stock rom

well there's a setting i think to put screen off while in call
also
i think by default the proximity sensor turns the screen off when you put the phone to your ear
to avoid you touching buttons while talking

I got an LG optimus one and I want to root it so I can improve it's gaming performace. Overclocking if I'm right. It's also my first android phone.. I got it like 3 months ago. Its runing android 2.2

I want a step-by-step tutorial on rooting my phone. Simple and clean since is the first time I do something like this on a phone. I got myself a kernel for my phone to apply after the rooting. franco.kernel.. I heard is the best for my phone. So I want you guys to tell me the simple steps to rooting, appling the kernel and safe overclocking my phone with links to the stuff i need. Thanks.

Is it 2.2 or 2.2.1 or 2.2.2? If it is 2.2, get an app called z4root, install it, go to settings and enable USB debugging, open the app and select 'Permanent Root'. If it is 2.2.1 or 2.2.2, get app called gingerbreak (it is gingerbreak, not gingerbread). Follow the same procedure to root.
The next step involves installing a custom recovery.
Step-by-step instructions for the entire exercise beginning from rooting with links can be found in the second post.

It's 2.2 No 2.2.1 or .2 . I will get z4root, install and then look for the instructions you said about. Thanks!

I write you because as expert Android user you may surely help to solve my problem.
Yesterday I have rooted my smartphone, a chinese I9220 with mtk6575 processor and 4.0.3 android release. I have done this to repair the damage made by my wife that push "fabric reset": this action had cancelled the IMEI and so the smartphone didn't connect more to 3G network mobile.
As I said before, I have rooted the smartphone and so I have succeded in to rewrite the IMEI. But now, the smartphne seems more slow and starting to this morning It is not possible phone because the audio and the microphone doesn't work.
How can I solve this problem? May you suggest an apps or a software that can restablish the normal working of the software? In the case, is it possible unroot the phone?

I'm sorry, but I only know enough about the LG P500, I don't know a thing about the i9220.
