Just a warning for everyone: do not use Flash Image GUI. That app left my phone in fastboot after I flashed a kernel

Unhappy Kernel updated .. Problems PLENTY .. HELP NEEDED

Rooted LG P500 successfully, about 10 days back.
Scouted a lot for a better kernel.
Found `signed-kernel.zip' (version 1.0) said to be stable and the best for LG P500.
Read all reviews about this kernel on "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929941.

And, updated my stock kernel with this version today.

THEN THE PROBLEMS STARTED.

1. At the time of booting, a `sorry' message appears - The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly.

2. Gallery does not work. Another `sorry' message - The application Gallery
(process com.cooliris.media) has stopped unexpectedly.

3. Video playing does not work. Displays the list of video files. But, does not play any video. Only a white blank screen is displayed.

4. Camera does not work. Another `sorry' message - The application Camera (process com.lge.camera) has stopped unexpectedly.

Kindly suggest solution for eliminating these errors.

My phone data is as under :
Android Version 2.3.3
Kernel 2.6.32.9 lg-electronics@mik-desktop#12
Build GRI40
SW Version LG-P500-V20c
ROM Stock

Did you do a nandroid backup before changing you kernel? If yes, then restore that backup. If no, then you can
a. Flash the stock rom using the stock rom zip posted in the first post (In the question "How to get back to stock")
b. Flash any other rom from the repository.
c. Or flash back the stock rom using the KDZ process, also mentioned in the first post.

Talking Went back to 2.6.35.10-perf STOCK KERNEL ... working fine

In addition to the issues already mentioned, there are a couple of other issues as well. The device is not being sensed by PC/Laptop. And, a couple of widgets are not working either.

So, restored the Nandroid backup taken only a day back. All my applications and data are/is safe. All applications are working fine. No issues at all.

The Kernel is back to 2.6.35.10-perf lgelectronics@INFBA00091 #1

I have decided to stick to the stock stuff.

Question Parse Error

First of I would like to thank the Admins and fellow members for their informative posts.

Secondly, Coming to my problem, I am using CM7.2.0 Thunderg-KANG rom ( Kernel v2.6.32.9) for some time now. Today I tried flashing a new rom using Rom Manager. Tried GingerBlurB, GSnap v2, MIUI but none would flash. Rom manager shows a bad file error on the recovery screen.

In the process of trying to flash these roms I cleared my cache's. Since the flash failed I lost all the previous data. Now when I try to Install a new app downloaded from net it shows "There is a problem parsing the package".

I checked some of the suggestion given but none helped. The file names end with .apk, Installation from Unknown source is activated. I need some Help.
