Maybe I'm missing something here... I used Jeremy fre3vo 1.1 located in the dev section here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1152101
I ran step 2 and 3.
I must have rebooted at least four times after and I have obtained root access... Titanium, terminal emu, superuser, root explorer, all of the bloat removed is sticking... It seems to be working just fine. I have S-off. Now, I tried it on my evo 3d and its fail... Each and everytime I reboot and then I had a system force close on me... Is it just not working for other S-off device owners? How can I make root stick for my evo 3d? Is it just a fluke?

I have only tested on sensation so it seems its not working for evo 3d
T-mobile - DNA - Rooted and S-off (yes i got it that way NO I do not know how to get you s-off)
If i have helped you in any way hit thanks ,Like my work buy me a beer!
apparently, there are some *minor* differences in the bootloaders for sensation and evo3D, so that could be it...
id say go check the evo3D threads, but apparently that place has gone to ****
You're telling me... I feel depressed every time I visit that section... But, what I'm trying to get at is, I have a proper root going for my s off device.. anyone else with the same results? It could be a start to something, maybe?

I notice in your signature that your Evo3D is S-ON. Wouldn't it need to be S-OFF for the root to stick?
I've read the threads in this post, but there is something i am missing.
So after doing this outlined steps, titanium backup is working but not any of the other root application. for example i am using an app called "paid apps enabler" to enable the market in my country, but every time i try to use it, it returns a message that it cannot get root access
When I reboot my phone,i see it is for s-off user.So I must delete some apps again..I think for s-off users you can flash unsecured boot.img to root...This is not convinience..

@crackeyes, if you're interested in refining this method, I've made a few quick changes which I think should be a good start but I can't test. Firstly, you can delete root.bat as everything is already done in prepare.bat. Secondly, I don't think we need S1C. The exploits don't work on this ROM so I think that all it's doing is putting the files in their correct places (could be wrong?). Thirdly, we can probably move Superuser.apk into the app folder using these scripts too. So I've modified these two files (I'd personally push the files to the sdcard but I've left it at /data/bin):
New archive attached. Should only need to run prepare.bat and then reboot when everything's finished to complete the installation of Superuser. As I say I can't test and I only quickly modified the existing scripts but it should be close to working. This is only for S-OFF users and I don't take any responsibility if anyone does anything with this. Maybe someone else can offer any suggestions on how to improve it?
