[Q] Opinions wanted on dev availability, not a whining thread!

Like many of you, I am aware we need to wait for a full SBF and such to get dev going, but the often mentioned issues are tempting me to the 4G phones.

Despite the hope of custom ROMS fixing the very slow screen wake up, the Pentile DX2 screen that seems kind of low quality to me (ugly blue shadowing in angry birds or other fast motion), and the general restriction of the dual core power, I have a concern that I wanted to get some opinions on.

If/when a full SBF or unlocked bootloader happens, will there be many devs working on this phone? I feel as if the recent deadline for unlimited data may have caused many people to jump on a 4G phone or they upgraded to a Thunderbolt or another easier to develop device. Anyone here personally or know someone who will be working on the DX2 when available?
