but if my gb build is hboot .97 am i good to go for the alpha beta or is this still 2.2 only !?!!?!?!?

A method to get back s-on is usually released some time after. I think we can assume it'll come.

as mentioned by jcase, if you upgraded to GB using RUU OTA whatever, no alpharevX for u. XTC clip is ur only option.

You need at least temp-root to S-Off via Alpharev. If you ignored repeated warnings to not upgrade to GB, then you're out of luck for now. Sorry...spend your money on an XTC clip.
