Hi guys,

I have (a maybe noob) question:

Wajk recommend a data wipe at this update. I want to do that but I am not sure about some backup question:

1. If I backup everything with the build-in backup app, all of my applications (games and tools) and the settings of them (and ofc the game states) are survive?
2. My settings and display layout survive?
3. After everything are backupped, I wipe the data, install the new version. Then I restore everything. In this way the old system preferences are restored, but isn't it bad? Because I think we wipe to delete the system preferences.

I will appriciate any experienced opinion!

Thanks!

Unhappy less stable?

I was on 1.9.23 till Sunday. I did the upgrade to 1.10.8, and have now way more often random reboots. (semi-reboots to be more accurate)
Some reboots were also happening on 1.9.23, but not too often.
Now it's really annoying. How can I find out what the problem is? CPU clock for example...

Thx
Edit:
Nevermind. Changed CPU settings and it is running now ok. I will do a stress test on it...

One question that does not let me go:
If i change a Contact on google to "File as" a nickname for example. How can I if possible see this contact in the contacts with this name?
I was used to things like this on Sense (the contacts handling of sense is the only thing I am missing now... and the clock app maybe...)

With miuibackup you make a complete backup, apps, settings, games, calls, everything.

And when you restore, you can choose every item to restore. Just dont restore system settings, and youll be fine.

As stated great ROM and loving it.

But today something seems to have gone wrong when I receive calls. The phone rings and the person calling shows for a second on the screen. The screen then goes black/blank as if I have put my face to it to lock it. So I’m unable to answer the call at this point. I wait a few more seconds, the call shows again on the screen and I’m finally able to answer the call.

Anybody else have these issues?

Thanks

Wow. The 1.10.8 release is a lot smoother than the previous one. The performance change only occurred after wiping the data/cache partitions though.

Also, it's the first time I think I'm gonna stick with MIUI. This ROM is fast and reliable enough to be used every day. Great work Wajk!

i think this ROM i a great ROM, but now in this version, but i find some minor defects, although most is greatly improved,

1.- the boot is really slowly, including bootscreen
2.- the program list when start after a reboot, re order icons, i don understand why.

but thx Wajk... great job... just need HD jejeje

1- boot time isnt that important, right? Unless you reboot your phone every hour

Anyway, the one to blame is motorola, we need 2nd init and start script, because of the locked bootloader, and this takes time.

2- works fine here, maybe that could be changes on launcher settings, dont know.

many have stated here that wiping data will make this even more faster and smoother so I would like to review of the method before doing so

back up w/ titanium back up
wipe data/cache
install wiui 1.10.8
wipe cache/dalvik
restore w/ titanium

am I missing something?
