Hi i tried the unmounting before posting. But it doesn't work. Tts why i bumped my question again.

Strange then because nobody else experienced that problem that wasn't fixed by unmounting the SD Card.
I'd be tempted to try re-installing the ROM.
I assume you followed the correct install procedure?

For the camera app in v0.3....Any idea how to make the camera silent?

I tried to rename the shutter sound file...however, the "focus" sound still there...

Any one has any idea on this?

yup, installed according to the steps provided. was really happy with the ROM and was about to start downloading my usual apps from the market then encountered this.

and another thing. my camera, cant start. when i press the camera icon, the camera will load and within 10 seconds, closes and back to the homescreen without any FC popups.

maybe its just my device :/

Sure,
Using Root Explorer or similar, open and edit the file build.prop in your /system directory and add the following line: ro.camera.sound.forced=0
Save the file and turn off your phone.
Restart the phone
Now by selecting silent mode (long press on power button or use status bar quick launch) your camera sounds are also silent.

Definitely something wrong there...
I'd try to re-install using my method from my signature and see how that goes.
You seem to have 2 problems that nobody else is having.
Do you have Astro File Manager installed?
It has an excellent App Backup program built in.
It will backup all the apps you select into an App backup directory.
They are all backed up as apk files to be installed whenever you want.
It's so fast that sometimes I dont even bother to install the app until I want to use it : )

hmm reading through the method you posted, 1 thing i did extra was format /system. i usually do that on flashing new ROMs, without any problems :/

anyway, i dont use ASTRO, i use ES. and i dont backup apps, even if i need i'll have my TBP.

i guess i'll just stick to GB for now thanks!
