The bootloader is locked.
ActionBarSherlock: Android library for implementing the action bar design pattern using the native ActionBar on 3.0+ and a custom implementation on pre-3.0 through a single API and theme.

On Topic: I know the Developer on of the "Droid Concepts" ROM for the OG Droid is currently working on Rooting and then making a ROM for the D3, its only a matter of time before we have this baby cracked open and bloat-free!

I know Woodyman from DroidConcepts is going to support the D3, he got his last Friday. He put up the system dump, media and wallapers over at droidforums.net and is going to be working on some great stuff.

What we need to do is give developers a reason to go out and get a D3 and root and get CWM Recovery so we can truly enjoy the D3. I will gladly donate, any others?

1+ ... and thanks for speaking up Yonnor!

As a current Droid X user, devs have done magic with its 'locked bootloader', making for a wonderful ride. And by "wonderful ride" its great to have a phone without all of the VZW crapware, under/overvolt, under/overclock, etc .... all with a "locked bootloader." Even cvpcs has done the near impossible, getting Cyanogenmod's AOSP ROM to run on the Droid X.

So I'm really looking forward to seeing what the devs will be cooking up in the very near future, as when my renewal comes due (or full retail price if my patience doesn't hold out), the Droid 3 is scheduled to be my next phone.

I'd love some ROMS for the 3, but right now I'd be perfectly happy with root to get rid of some of the crapware that came on it.

Agree. Root good enough for me right now just so I can run some apps that work best with root.

I would donate to the Dev(s) that get the D3 rooted.
