Default XoomPort [Xacer] Boot Animation

*Important*

This thread is for discussion of the boot animations linked below - questions, complaints, comments, feedback etc.

If you have an idea for a boot animation or request? > Post it in this other thread only please <

Preamble: I wasn't going to do this one but I decided 'why not'. It's not my work, of course, but if people get some use out of it then so be it. I did but my own flare on it but other than that, it's just the stock Xoom Bootanime.

XoomPort [Xacer] v.1 *NO TAGS*

XoomPort [Xacer] v.1 is a replacement mod for the stock ANDROID loading logo animation with a touch of Honeycomb colors and flavor.
  • Ported Xoom boot animation - gR style!
  • Loops until tab is fully loaded

Should work on any cousins of the a500 running HC @1280x800: eg Eee Pad etc. Use at your own risk, however.

XoomPort [Xacer] v.1
Size @1.8mb :
>Preview a single XoomPort [Xacer] v.1 frame here<
>Download the XoomPort [Xacer] v.1 boot animation attached below<

Want something different!? You have two options here: Android [GEARS] v.1 & v.2

One more here: Acer a500 Boot Animation [CombBar v.1]

And three more here: Acer a500 Boot Animation [v.Clean, v.ACER & v.Full]

I hope you enjoy these (or at least the one you use) - I welcome any feedback. And if you have a moment, tell me which one you're using and why. If you're not an XDA member, sign-up already!

If you like my work, consider a donation. More to come - wallpapers, icons, boot animations - themes.

Can you tell me how this works? I have a rooted tab and as per instructions I've found elsewhere I've copied the zip to /data/local, but I'm still stuck with the stock Android boot animaion.
Devices: HTC One S (stock) & Acer Iconia Tab A500 (Flexreaper ICS ROM by civato)
Operator: Mobitel Slovenia

Did you unzip the file? If you did, you should not. Simply put the bootanimaton.zip file in data/local and it will work.
Acer A500 (Unofficial CM10.1)
Samsung Galaxy S III (Stock)

I'm in the root/system and I don't see the data folder. I tried to flash with CWM like I do with my Epic with no go. Using File Manager HD which sees the root system.

Input greatly needed. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, I found my bootanimation.zip file in root/system/media or something like that. I renamed the original file and placed the new file in the folder.

Still trying. Nothing works. Running Honey Villian 1.05 a/ HV kernel. Tried /data/local and /system/media. Just dropping in each one zipped. Do I need to push it in there?
I'm not really a noob but still learning.

you should not need to 'push' just copy and paste it in the right directory.
