I've tried about 5 times now to flash 3.0.0 (CLK/Lite), every time when I boot up Android all my applications are gone. I've tried doing advanced restore sdext & data and then reboot but the same thing happens.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I've never had a problem with upgrading ROMs before.
UPDATE
I reinstalled all my applications manually eg. searching the market and what not, I set them up and then I rebooted and now they're all gone again!
UPDATE 2
I went back to 2.9.8, and then flashed 2.9.9, and booted into Android and it works but when I flash 3.0.0. all my apps get deleted but the settings for the apps are still there.
DM needs logcats if he is too fix the problem.
Same was happening to me only the app icons were 'greyed' out.
Apps were still there, just looked like they were not?
Now I am having hot reboots and when the phone has rebooted back up apps are again actually missing this time?
I've never had a hot reboot with a DM rom until now.
Back to 2.9.9 for me as this was stable.
will try flashing latest kernel see if things are any different?
for me kernel 2.5 is the best in battery drain. all newer kernels are draining may battery so much in stand by as i´m using my phone... over night with 2.9 kernel 50% in 7 houres with wifi on, swap, data to ext, working odex, crond, zram on magldr high end rom
thanks for info.
I think i will also try 2.5 and perhaps go back.
@ Dorimanx
do you think you can make it to get the speed off 2.6.32.50 Main Line 2.9 Kernel with the low battery drain off 2.5 Kernel.
Do you have any Idea why battery drain has increased?
It would be so perfect.
Perhaps you can make two kernels.
- one ultra fast (with new main line)
- one with low battery drain (old main line) but all your new tweaks and good combining off power and battery usage
Thanks, gerardroid, for the "Thanks" and for your advice, I will take a look right now. My idea was to use the default lockscreen and to avoid installing an extra app for a normal stock function, but if this is the quick solution for the problem, I will go for it.
thanks for info.

i am working on reducing the batt drain on 3.0 kernel
also i dont have any drain! 50 services in RAM and 3-4mA so i cant see any problem,
there are always users that have drain, guys it's your apps!!! not kernel / rom
start managing and debugging your apps and clear as many as posible from ram, and keep them from restarting and activating cpu wake lock! then you get 60ma!
use paid apps to stop apps from auto run, and reduce the uselles apps in ram.
remove wake lock permissions from apps...
There is so much things you can do to not have batt drain,
Please do them,
And i will look for something to remove in kernel...
OP: theres not logcats of it, but people are reporting hot restarts and missing apps after reboot, still havent gone up from 2.9.7 yet, will make the trek soon... might just wait for 3.0.1
Have I in some way helped you?
Perhaps I made a post of an issue that you also have?
Think i'm such a nice/swell guy*
Then hit the THANKS button!

Dorimanx!! Thanks for 3.0.0!! This is an angry ROM and so far it's chewed and spat out anything I've thrown at it!! Truly awesome and yet so smooth. Of course such performance requires lots of juice (and I certainly don't mind) but mine isn't as high as some of the others are reporting (4-8mA on avg) But aside from the snappiness of this rom, I am extremely happy about the fact that Task 29'ers (such as myself) no longer need to install the rom twice to avoid the home/call button issue. You can install 3.0.0 straight with no probs. This is truly my fav version so far.
Thought I'd also throw in a few useless (?) stats. We've reached the 1000th page on this thread-yay! Now let's compare this to some of the other well-known (similar) roms:
1. Hyperdroid: Started 30th August 2010 (About 15.5 months). Pages: 1735
2. Coredroid: Started 24th Jan 2011 (10.5 months). Pages: 1917
3. Typhoon: Started 30th Jan 2011 (10.5 months). Pages: 2071
4. Dorimanx: Started 13th July 2011 (5 months). Pages: 1000
Using simple math, Hyperdroid is at 112 pages per month, Coredroid at 183 pages, Typhoon at 197... and Dmx at 200! The message is very simple: This is the most active thread in the NAND section! And we all know how fast Dorimanx gives us support! He is unlike most others!! Thanks Dmx! Also don't forget the other willing senior members who help us out all the time and I'd like to thank them for that too. It is these people collectively, who have created such an active, lively culture--the Dorimanx culture if you will So be generous with the thanks button... and when you see your HD2 performing like no other, perhaps you can give up a drink so that our great dev or one of these great guys can have it instead! And give yourself a pat on the back for bein a member of the most active thread

so guys/girls with batt drain just reboot your phone few times run fix permission..
and ofcourse use a good appkiller..i use 3
