Default Are there any newer phones than HD2 that can be upgraded to WinMo 6.5?

Yeah, I know. People are fleeing from Winmo 6.5 and installs anything to avoid it! But I'm totally dependant on it, because of a couple of necessary, work related programs not upgraded any more, they won't ever come for any other OS. The screen on my HD2 is smashed, so I need something new. It will have to be another HD2 (or fixing of the screen) if I can't find anything newer that can replace it with Windows Mobile 6.5. But does such an animal excist?

Toshiba TG02 and K01 are a little newer, but rare and not better.
HTC HD Mini is newer, but not better.
And they are all over a year old.

I think there are probably newer, cheap and junky WinMo devices from China that resemble iPhones, but they are junk with plastic resistive screens, poor spec CPUs and cameras.

Probably best to buy another HD2 or replace the screen.

OK, thanks. I wouldn't want to go down in size or quality, no. Maybe I should buy up 10-15 HD2's so I have one every two years until I retire?

Yes. Your best idea. I'm doing that with htc incredibles.

I guess you can say that it's in suspended anmiation at the time, with a small chance of doing a zombie revival when Nokia comes out with the promised Windows Phone 7 units. But to me they made a big mistake when they made WP7 incompatible with all older PPC/WinMo software. I have one program that I have been using for more than 10 years, and I can't be without it, so I'm stuck at 6.5, I guess.

Same reason he doesn't go for an Android phone, the apps he uses are WM only.

Probably posted while on the loo

"Many phenomena — wars, plagues, sudden audits — have been advanced as evidence for the hidden hand of Satan in the affairs of man, but whenever students of demonology get together the M25 London orbital motorway is generally agreed to be among the top contenders for exhibit A."

Yh i had that issue too, i had a programme written for me when i used winmo. WHen i jumped ship to my hd2 it was kool, but then i flashed droid, so a buddy coded it for android market. Now im using wp7 i will need to do the same thing again

So, to cut a long story short, id stick with your hd2. btw, getting your screen replaced at the shop is about £150 UK which hurts!
