How to debug a lockup?

I've had a Droid X2 for a few weeks now and it's my first Android phone. I like it overall but have had several occasions where I go to unlock it and find it's locked up. The last 2 mornings I've woken up to find that the phone locked up over night (I'm guessing between 2 and 3 am).

I'm unsure of exactly what I may have changed in the last 2 days that could be triggering these lockups and am looking for a little guidance on trying to track them down. The phone has been rooted since day 5 so I can take any steps needed that way.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Have you removed any bloat from the phone? You could try a SBF. It's not really a big deal and it may fix your issues.

I froze any of the pre-loaded apps that I didn't want right after I rooted it. I haven't really screwed around with anything on that front in the last few days.
