[Q] Cant Root 2.3.3 Gingerbread ?

I've just installed 2.3.3 which i really like the look of but i didnt know anything about red and green lenses as the camera doesnt work at all.

Am i right in thinking that i'm now stuck with 2.3.3 ?
I cant seem to root it which as far as i know means i cant install any other roms
Is this right ??

How did you end up flashing this stock 2.3.3? There's already available rooted 2.3.3 rom with fixed sbf. Just curious here...

Thanks for the replies, farsight73 I dont really know what i'm doing i suppose is the answer ! Most of the jargon I dont understand....tell me, can i flash a new sbf (rom?) without the handset being rooted ?

Yes I supposed... But only higher sbf since you won't be able to downgrade. So practically from 2.3.3 to higher like 2.3.4.. But I did read somewhere that someone like your case was able to flash back to 2.2.2.. may be walter could help you. Please pm him..

correct me if i'm wrong but i think downgrade is possible with fixed sbf and nandroid. havent tried it yet though...
