Default Getting to Recovery is much easier than you think!

Getting to the official Recovery to install the official Vega 1.10 rom or the ModdedRom to install Custom Roms is a lot easier than first thought.
It was so easy for me that I would like confirmation that it does actually work!

Normally you would switch of the tablet by holding it for 6 seconds.
Then place the usb and power cables( it must have a powersupply)
then hold the back button for 2 seconds, the back and power button for 2 seconds and then the back button for another 2 seconds.

But I have tried this multiple times and it worked flaweless!

Switch the tablet off. Then insert the usb cable... No need whatsoever for the powersupply!

Then all I did, and if it works for me, than it should work for you:

Hold the power and back button at the same time for 2 seconds.... and the well known driver install screen shall appear!

No need for powersupplies or 2 seconds holds for single buttons, Just try it!

Let me know if it works, if not, then I will wonder why it does work for me haha

Doesn't work for me. No idea what could be different as the key combination is hard wired into the Vega.

Thanks for your reply, but if I'm honest it worked for me.

I came no where near a powersupply as my sister left the powercable at her house and yet I got it into recovery by holding down the back and powerkeys for 2 seconds..
Never mind, just seems to be my luck then.

Well sponge my rock!

I was intrigued by this so did a little playing around. Found that if my Vega is reasonably well charged, and without the charged plugged in, this works!

I spend a lot of time helping noobs flash ROMs and getting to recovery is a big hurdle for them. You might be onto here. Thanks!

DONATE TO ME
I have something I can possibly add to this. I found it almost impossible to get into recovery if the Vega is fully charged and plugged into the charger (i.e. the charge light is solid blue). If you let the charge drop a bit so that the charge light is flashing, I foulnd it easier to get into recovery. I wonder if there is some logic that charge has to be > x% but less than 100%?

That is very likely if the vega turned off half way through you would be pretty stuck hence the normal requirement of having the cable plugged in but with a highly charged battery this may well be another way advent deemed safe to use to enter recovery

I'm glad some of you are finding it usefull. Glad to hear about the use, or to non use, of a powersupply.

But has anyone had anyluck with just the 2 second press of the back and power button, just like I had?

Yeh, tit works for me but I can only get it to fire off if the power supply is not plugged in and charge is less than 100%, say 95%, then it pops into recovery easily.

So Simonta,
can we now without a doubt say, that if you make sure your vega is full, but not too full (about 95%) then pressing the back and power button for 2 seconds would get you into recovery easily without the powersupply?

This will make us famous with vega and POV noobs for decades :P
