Here is a little StarWars love.

I read above somewhere that the zips need to be less than 8mb. This one is 10+ yet seems to work fine on my tab.

Also I've noticed that the transition in between part0 and part1 shows a brief flash of the first few frames from the beginning of part0 on occaision. Anyone have any ideas on what to do for this?

EDIT: I've replaced the first download with one that has all of the frames numbered properly. Thanks metpolds and hgoldner for the help.

@JdgM3NT4L..... Very nice StarWars animation. Perhaps the following comments may help out your questions.

The size limitation of 8Mb you mention does not refer to the size of the animation for your Tab... It refers to the limit imposed by XDA on uploads of "zip" files to the forum. The Forum refuses to accept uploads greater than 8Mb for zip files hence for anyone posting their anims to the forum thread they have to be smaller than the limit. This obviously doesn't apply if, like your post, you link the zip file to a "file sharing" web site. Because what you are posting on XDA is then purely a "link" not an actual file.

In case it interests you, back in January this year I ran a test designed to find out what the maximum size the anim could be but would still run on our Tabs. The largest size anim that I could run was 138.76 Mb, so your 10Mb anim has plenty of room to expand

As regards your "frame flashing" problem, I don't say that this is the absolute answer but it may be causing the problem..... As a general rule all frames in all "parts" should run progressively..... what I mean by this is if you have, for example, Frames 0 - 10 in "part0" then the Frames in "part1" should be 11 - 20 and then the Frames in "part2" should be 21 - 30...... In other words no matter how many "parts" you have, ALL frames contained in those "parts" should increment by 1 each time.

In your animation "part0" has frames 1 - 464 and "part1" has frames 231 - 383..... to help ensure smoothness the "part1" frames should start at 465 which obviously is the next frame number following on from the end of "part0". Another possibility is that you will be using too many frames in total to ensure smoothness, because if you re-name your "part1" frames you will end up with a total of about 616 frames which is a huge number for an animation to run smoothly.

If I was you I would consider editing the frames and deleting duplicates. Another point to consider is that your first 9 frames in "part0" are 1 digit numbers i.e. 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 but thereafter you change to 3 digit numbering i.e. 010 - 011 - 012 etc etc. ..... for the sake of smoothness make them all 3 digit numbers.

Hope some of the above might help you, again congrats on the anim.

What if you renamed 1-9 jpg's with leading zeroes? i.e. 001-009. I may try that myself before rezipping and installing.

I also note that part1 starts with 231 instead of 001. I wonder whether that makes a difference.

First, thanks. (Insert fav  IMG here) After all of that trouble I still didn't get the numbers right... lol, it is straight now. Even with the high number of frames. The animation runs very smooth on my tablet, Glitch seems to be gone!. I'm uploading to corrected version now. I'll update the link asap. Thanks again guys. I'll pay more attention next time.

Full credit for this must go to "kozmo2k4" who ported it from the Nexus to the Viewsonic GTab on Slatedroid.com.

All I have done is to tweak it to work on our ICS A500 Tabs.
