Do you have to be rooted and use cwm to do this?

I did not use CWM and I was not rooted. Used stock recovery.
Current Phone: Nexus 5.

I'm on 1.141. 02 version. Which you were also at a while ago. So what were your steps to get the latest update of 4.010.11?

-Download 4.010.11
-Decrypt 4.010.11
-Extract update.zip from decrypted 4.010.11
-Place extracted update.zip onto root of sdcard
-Power down A500
-Hold volume+power and let it runnnnnnnnn!

Worked for me!
Current Phone: Nexus 5.

I could not update to 1.141.07 from 1.104.02 so I upgraded from 1.104.02 to 4.010.11 with no problem.

Thanks. So This may be a Full ROM and we can flash regardless of the current ROM version.

Do not just open the decrypted file you have to unzip it first then take the update.zip file over to your external SD card. I just restarted mine to 1. 104. 02 and installed the update zip file directly through factory recovery so I can confirm this is a complete Rom and works on top of most builds.

Be sure you are unrooted and using factory recovery not cwm.
