Default Easy way of getting swype no root required

1. Go to the swype website and sign up.
2. Then on your Evo 3D go to your email and click the https://beta.swype.com/android/get/ link.

3. Then it will download and install it
4. Then go to an area where you and type and hold it and go to input method.
5. Finally click Swype and there you go!

I'm guessing it will revert the changes back to default.

In one month? I have had mine for close to a year on my old hero. In fact, it has a better version than on my brand new evo 3d.

I don't think this can be done. You have to disable the preloaded Swype which you can't do without root. AFAIK anyway.
