Hello all,ive got a i9000 without 3 button combo and i heard it can be fixed by installing a kernel so...there's a kernel flasher that flashes (.tar) kernels(obviously)directly from the sd card i think its called SGS kernel flasher and im wondering if someone with download mode already could find a bit of time to see if it is safe since you could restore without loosing 200 hard spent cash.

You could also get into download mode with adb or a jig.

That is correct, but you see im going to try really wierd stuff with my phone and i want to be able to back up m rom and restore it without the need of a pc since im rooted and have e2 recovery ind i cant enter recovery mode without 3 button combo.

i already try this and it works like a charm it really saves me..before i got super laggy froyo 2.2 im afraid to flash a new rom because i dont have a 3 button combo.. but now after using this i'm already in 2.3.4 and it really fast.. thanks for that method,. it really helps.. just read and follow the instruction and you will be fine.. it really helps..
