I used synker to sync with google. Now, when also my contacts are synced, I believe it is done automatically, but that is a different story.
ah okay, yah I was looking for another way because I don't know how to do apk file stuff & there was no calendar included in the method I used for the rooting. I can learn, I was just hoping to be able to find something I could install via the market because I don't want to **** it all up and have to start again, it took me HOURS to get it rooted & the apps installed lol

Well, if calendar app was not included in the nooter (or whatherver) you've used for rooting, that the sync would not work. Check your /system/app directory for
Calendar.apk, CalendarProvider.apk files. The first one is the app itself, the second one is necessary for the sync with google.
I am attaching those two files, it should be enough to copy them to /system/app and reboot, but I can't tell for 100%.
Attached Files
File Type: apk Calendar.apk - [Click for QR Code] (249.0 KB, 39 views)
File Type: apk CalendarProvider.apk - [Click for QR Code] (126.6 KB, 32 views)

I think you copy Calendar.apk to /system/app then install the other apk.
Installing works, but you should copy to /system/app instead.

That's not the way I did it on my Nook Tablet. I installed it using ADB. Maybe it works either way.

Edit...And I just checked, and it's not in /system/apps on my Tablet now, but sync still works.

If you install it, the app would go into data partition and thus reduce available space for data & apps. On my phone and nook touch both of them are under /system (on touch because touchnooter installs it there). I really believe copy should be enough, I just cant say that those two apk file are enough to make it work.

You're right, better to copy it to /system/apps. I've updated my post above to reflect this.

After copying those two files, setting permissions on them, and rebooting, you probably also need to modify packages.xml as per the link in my earlier post in order for calendar sync to work. DeanGibson has provided a script to make the modification, if you have busybox installed.

Lightbulb Ankidroid on N2E

Hello xda forum users and happy rooted N2E owners!

I've got my N2E rooted following the great information provided on this forum. It's awesome! Back to the topic:

coolreader 2 and fbreader are fantastic apps. They include some great peace of code which detects NST, N2E and other eink devices. Ankidroid is another great app that I regularly used for years (although the PC and Maemo5 version of anki).

Unfortunately Ankidroid does not support partial refresh on our beloved device (NST/N2E) I created an issue on the tracker of this app, and I ask the users of this forum that also use Ankidroid, or would like to have another great app for N2E to subscribe to this issue. Click on the blank star to the left of the title. Hopefully the more supporters it has, the sooner this feature will be included!

Link is code.google.com/p/ankidroid/issues/detail?id=971

Thanks!

Shortyz crosswords work well. You will want to use the system keyboard.

Math Workout works reasonably well. There is some flicker on countdown animations at the start of each quiz, and the results headers are a bit difficult to read.

Overdrive works for downloading library books, but the built-in reader is very basic.

Maildroid works for Exchange email.

Wikidroid works but with tiny text.

I copied over the apk for the Crossword game from a Nook Color and it installed and seems to work. Haven't tried Sudoku or Chess yet.
