Download the patch from here (normal or advenced) and the undo. Transfer them to your phone. Reboot into recovery and install the patch.zip using the install zip from sd feature. Reboot your phone. It may not load the bar. If it doesn't do this: Reboot into recovery and install the undo.zip. Reboot your phone. Now it will load the non-patched bar. Reboot into recovery again and install the patch.zip again. Reboot your phone and it will load the transparent bar.

I was successful in first time reboot. both honeycomb launcher and met launcher support transparent bar look at home screen.
