Dont know if any one else has tried it but the new NetFlix app seems to work with out using the netflix fixer app here is here the link from androidpolice site if anyone else wants to give it a try.

Did you have to root in order to use Netflix? Sorry if it sounds dumb but I'm thinking of buying one.

Not any more. I set my friend up with a SD bootable cm7 latest nightly and with the updated app it worked. No fast foreword audio or video, just pure goodness. His nook is a non rooted blue dot nook.

Yes sorry it is a rooted rom, what I meant to say is that you do not have to root the stock nook itself if you run an SD bootable version. Unless the sd bootable roots the device in the process? I myself run off rooted emmc so SD bootables are a little foreign to me.

This worked well for me--Thanks! No fiddling with any other files, just signed into Netflix account and it worked.
