Default Difference between the 2 guides to root?

Hey guys just got my nook STR and really want to root it! But which of the 2 guides should I use?
this or this?

Default I went with your second pick

I recently rooted my Nook Touch using Touchnooter and the process couldn't have been easier. I'd reccomend that method to anyone.

Use touchnooter and keep in mind once you are up and running that the soft keys for home and other options are very hard to see on the middle right.

Another happy Touchnooter user here. Love this little guy! So cool to have DropBox to side load with.

thx guys i just rooted it and it's awesome. Just one question when it boots now shouldn't there be rooted forever :? coz mine has read forever

Install LCD Density (free here on XDA and on the market). I set it to 200 and it's perfect. And the good thing is that after reboot, everything turns to stock. I got the idea from this post.
HTC Hero -> HTC HD2 -> HTC One X
