[Q] Low volume

I am sitting on a china town bus with a guy yelling on the phone in punjabi, it's driving me crazy cause I can't watch my movie. The sgt volume is really low, is there any way to adjust this? I'm guessing I would have to root and mod?

I think it is loud, but your perception makes it feel less loud.

Odd, I feel it is rather low always.
