Default [Q] Battery performance of KC1 vs KF2?

Right now im on froyo KC1 and 6 hr idle night only consumes about 5% (with GSM off and WiFi ON) and with normal use, i can use the phone for 2.5 - 3 days with a full charge.

However once i installed KF2 (gingerbread), 6hr idle night consumes about 30 - 40% (with GSM off and WiFi ON) and the phone is dead within 24hrs with normal use.

Is that normal with gingerbread or is there any fix for this?

Installed GB 2.3.4 y'day and still battery performance is way less than KC1. Does KC1 show the correct battery level?

Guys, don't forget you have to calibrate the battery and use it for a couple of days first.

I never used KF2, but 24 hours with regular use is already excellent battery life with Android.

Battery Calibration. It is in the Market. Download and follow the easy inductions. It takes a cpl of days after calibrating for the phone to "settle in"

You're exactly right. I have been amazed by KF2's battery life! I've consistently experienced between 26 and 30+ hours of battery life with moderate use with KF2. It's ridiculous (compared to what I've seen so far with this phone).

I did two things that I think added to the already decent battery life for KF2.

1. I installed SetCPU and set it for powersave at 800-1000mhz (with powersave screen off profile of 400mhz)
2. I also installed this app called AutoKiller Memory Optimizer - running in background with default settings (not like the other task killers, trust me).

Man, I believe I've found my phone's sweet spot. KF2 is running smooth as butter, pretty as ever, and running like the energizer bunny (well, relatively speaking)! I'm scared to flash another rom, now.

Just FYI... I flashed the Deodexed ODIN version of KF2. The best I've flashed yet! (Thanks, corradokng!)
