Default Low signal and slower wifi on v10d

Does anyone of you here with v10d suffer a lower wifi signal strength and slower wifi speed? I have tested mine on speedtest as compared to iphone 4. and iphone 4 is nearly twice as fast and upload speed tripled. Should it be a hardware problem or firmware problem?

Speedtest seems all over the place at times.

However I tried pulling a file over from my phone using FTP and easily got 3.2MB/s which would seem to indicate no problems.

At best my laptop gets 3.6MB/s so the fact a phone can get so close with a considerably smaller antenna is pretty damned impressive.
Smartphone History:
HTC Wizard (Awesome keyboard), Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i Silver (Sucked), Nokia N900 (Poor support from Nokia), LG Optimus 3D (WORSE support than Nokia, at least their ROMs worked)

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Was excellent until I updated to Android 4.1.2 which reduced the battery life to 1/4 of what it was before.

secret is this...

50meg price before introduction of 100meg - £35p/m
50meg price after introduction of 100meg - £25p/m
price of 100meg - £35p/m

because your 50meg contract was for £35p/m they will keep charging you that even after the price of the 50meg line has gone down to make way for the new top tier package of 100meg for £35.

so essentially right now you are paying for 100meg and just not getting it man.
they've done this every time they've upgraded the lines. they must have made thousands and thousands off of customers not noticing this discrepency.

i accept beer and cookies as thankyou gifts for saving you all the money you didnt notice you were giving them.

also, when using speedtest.net, i exclusively use the london server that is hosted by "namesco" as it's the only one out of the lot in the uk that is on a 1gbps fiber line and thus has the bandwidth on their end to actually give you a true measure of your line speed.

I actually get 50mb for the price of 20mb kicked up a big fuss about poor speeds, I even call them every month and get a reduction in the price also.

well there you go.
i've never had any trouble with speeds from them, even when i first started out on 10mb it was always as fast or faster than it should be.
