Default About the built-in tethering...
The mobile tethering menu built into the wireless settings doesn't appear to do a subscription check. I turned on hotspot and connected for a few minutes, went and checked my plan online, and there was no indication it tethering was ever enabled. Can anyone else confirm this as a bug/loophole?

Did you actually try going anywhere on the connected device? You'll likely get forwarded to a Verizon page asking you to add tethering to your plan.

Touche, Elkay. It did seem a little too obvious. It prompts you to sign up for the plan and blocks all other connections.
