Default SGS2 getRIL Database

Hi, I'm on a Galaxy SII (I9100), latest CM9 Nightly (20120708); I downloaded 15+ basebands to test out, because my calls kept dropping, but after I flash them I can't seem to find a compatible RIL in getRIL.

The only options that show up (no matter what radio I flash) are: I9100XXLPX and I9100XXLPW, which aren't working very well in my area.

I flashed:

I9100XXKH3
I9100XXKG5
I9100XXKI3
I9100XXKI4
I9100NEKF2
I9100XXLPQ
I9100XXLPS
I9100XXLPW
I9100XXLQ5

and a few others I can't remember.

Is there anyway way to update the database manually? Get more RILs? Ideally I'd like a matching RIL for KI3, KH3 and LQ5.

Thanks a lot for any help you can give me.

EDIT: Also, I know GetRIL adds a file somewhere if you check the "Keep RIL after ROM flash" option. Once I uncheck it and reflash my ROM, the RIL stays the same. So there's no delete built in. Could you per chance tell me where to find the file so I can delete it? Thanks!

Hi Sibbor,

Can you please extend Get RIL support for LG Prada 3.0 P940 too??. Coz I'm facing problems with outgoing calls on 3G network.
I would be grateful if you could kindly check my post and advice:

Of course baseband will not change because getril is the application to download only ril nothing else if you want to change baseband you need to look for baseband and flash it using smartflash

smartflash doesn't work on the O3D. I have wasted hours a few months back. Use the kdz method.

DONATE TO ME
Default GetRIL 0.9.4 out - on its own first birthday!

Hi there everyone! I'm at vacation, but manage to squeeze in some coding time meanwhile the family is sleeping. I'm not able to answer your questions now, so I'll need to get back to you at a later point. HOWEVER, please enjoy this new version in the meantime:

GetRIL celebrates its first birthday!
One year ago I relased version 0.1 of GetRIL. Since then a lot of things have happend and the project has grown over time. It takes a lot of my spare time, but I enjoy [almost] every second of developing it! Still aiming to push version 1.0 out that door, once it's done.

I just wanted to take the time and say 'Thank You!'. With Your kind words, ratings, donations & purchases (and don't let us forget the thousands RIL reports and logs you send me!) you're encouraging and motivating me to keep developing this app. You all make this app a possibility!

Version 0.9.4 (2012/07/27)
  • Enabled support for Nexus S (crespo) + Galaxy Nexus (toro)
  • If an unknown RIL is found a force-update of the RIL database is done if the RIL database is older than 60 minutes (yes, I'm remotely trying to add RILs asap :P)
  • The system partition remount process is a bit smoother
  • The download dialog now contains status messages for remounting etc.

See your device's RIL and baseband version and download & install a new RIL even without on-the-fly!
